Hi parents!

Attached are results from today's meet at VG! I love that VG had officials today because it helps our athletes to learn! Even though we might repeatedly tell them to touch with 2 hands on a wall, being "DQ'ed" in a meet helps that swimmer to learn that there's a reason why we talk about it so much! Feel free to share with your swimmers that I was DQ'd MANY times throughout my swimming career and even though it isn't a good feeling it helped motivate me to work on improving my stroke to help me become faster! Next week at practice we would LOVE to focus on helping make some more of those changes to help our swims be "legal" :)! I have the notes from the officials and am happy to share why a swimmer was DQ'ed if that helps- please email me if you want to learn more! You will see lots of DQ's from all teams- it is a normal learning curve as we head into the city meet where there will be twice as many officials there watching!

Reminder that those City Meet Entries are due Tuesday 7/18 at 10 AM (along with payment)! It is $12 per swimmer and they can enter up to 4 individual events!

Our end of the season celebration is going to be on Sunday, July 23rd at 6 PM at Parkwood! Please plan to be there if you can make it! We will be celebrating the accomplishments of our swimmers, handing out awards, and "sending off" our State Swimmers!
