We did it!

Please be sure to congratulate your kiddos on being the Division Champions at the 2022 City Meet! Molly, Peter, and I could not be more proud of the work that our team put in this season. Not only did we have a team record of 92 athletes on the team... we were able to place first in our Division (Division 3), even beating out several Division 2 teams. This truly was a team effort- every single swim at the City Meet mattered in helping us accomplish this.

I have attached the City Meet results from day 1, day 2, and the team scores. You will notice that there are a lot of disqualifications at the City Meet. This is tricky because although it isn't a great feeling it really is the best way for kiddos to learn to change habits! Sometimes coaches telling them the same changes to make every day loses value- but getting disqualified helps communicate that message about WHY coaches were asking the swimmer to make the change. Regardless of the time or outcome, coaches are proud of our swimmers for ending the season on a high note! Please reach out if you have any questions about why a disqualification happened- I am happy to help explain!

Lastly, please be on the lookout for an email in the next day or so about our end of the year celebration (we are finalizing a few things first!)! Thank you so much for your continued support this season and be sure to wish our state swimmers good luck at their meet next weekend! Thank you for another amazing season as a Parkwood Piranha!
